A house fire in Fort Pierce is under investigation.
The St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) said the fire broke out on Monday at around 2 p.m. at a home on Weatherbee Road, off Regina Drive. Photos from the scene show heavy smoke coming out of the home.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out by 2:24 p.m. Luckily, the two people were unharmed but the Red Cross was called in to assist them after their displacement.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
