Georgia man dies after crash in Gilchrist County

 A Georgia man is dead after is hitting a tree in Gilchrist County Wednesday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a 52-year-old man from Austell, Georgia was driving a ford fusion along US Highway 129 just before 1 p.m. when he drifted off the roadway and hit a tree.

He was later pronounced dead. According to the report, he was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
