A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly pepper spraying and hitting another woman who answered the door at her boyfriend’s house.
Deputies responded to a battery involving 32-year-old TFM at 2348 North Ave., Leesburg, around 1:45 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, they met with the female victim who advised that she was asleep when she heard banging at the door. She answered it and was met by M who told her to “get out.” The victim did not answer, and she left only to return 10 minutes later, the report said.
This time, the victim opened the door. M then sprayed her in the face with pepper spray, struck her on the forehead and grabbed her wig off her head before leaving in a tan SUV. She possibly returned to her own residence on 2221 Mispah Ave., the report said.
The victim sustained swollen, red and watery eyes along with a raised bump in the middle of her forehead. Lake County Fire Rescue responded, but she refused medical treatment, the report said.
A deputy went over to M’s residence, and she explained her boyfriend lived at the incident location. They had been arguing all day, so she drove over and got into a verbal altercation with him. She ended up leaving and made a sharp U-turn in his driveway, the report said.
M added she and the victim had previous exchanges in the past. They both mentioned the reason for the incident was due to the victim being at the boyfriend’s residence. The report noted M did not have any injuries, the report said.
Meanwhile, another deputy interviewed M’s son. He stated he saw a fight but would not say who it was between, the report said.
The boyfriend was spoken to over the phone due to him no longer being there. He advised that M came to his residence and had an argument about the victim being there. M left shortly after, followed by his departure, the report said.
M was arrested on charge of aggravated battery (cause bodily harm or disability) and transported to Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $25,000.
She was also arrested in July after being stopped without insurance or a driver’s license.
