Golf cart crash in Bay County leaves three hospitalized

Three Louisiana residents are in a local hospital after a traffic crash on Thomas Drive.

According to a news release, the crash happened about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Thomas Drive and Joan Avenue.

The Florida Highway Patrol said an 18-year-old man from Montegut, Louisiana, was driving a golf cart with two 17-year-old passengers from Napoleonville, Louisiana.

They were stopped at the traffic light when a westbound SUV hit them from behind.

The golf cart driver and one of the female passengers suffered serious injuries. The other female passenger suffered critical injuries.

The 50-year-old Jefferson City, Tennessee, woman, who was driving an SUV, was not injured. The crash is still under investigation.
