The driver of a golf cart was transported to the hospital after a crash Thursday morning in The Villages.
The golf cart had been northbound on Belvedere Boulevard at about 9:30 a.m. when the driver unintentionally drove past the multi-modal path entrance near the gate at the Village of Belvedere, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The golf cart struck a stationary golf cart which had been waiting to turn left onto Belvedere Boulevard.
The cart in motion rolled after the collision leading to a minor injury to the driver who was transported to UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital.
Compensation for Serious Cart Injuries
Despite their low speeds, golf cart accidents often result in severe injuries such as traumatic brain injuries, fractures, and spinal damage due to passenger ejection or rollovers. A South Florida injury lawyer at Ovadia Law Group understands that these “minor” vehicles can cause major medical bills. We work closely with medical professionals to document the full extent of your injuries and the long-term care you may require. Because Florida’s “No-Fault” PIP laws typically do not apply to golf carts unless a motor vehicle was involved, securing compensation requires a strategic approach. Our firm is dedicated to ensuring you are not left paying for another person’s recklessness. We treat every client with personalized care, fighting for every dollar you deserve for pain, suffering, and rehabilitation.
