A Good Samaritan came to the rescue of two people after their car crossed several lanes and crashed into a canal.

According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR), on Monday at about 8:40 a.m. units were dispatched to the crash located at the intersection of D Road and Valencia Drive.

Witnesses at the scene told firefighters that a car crossed several lanes of traffic on Southern Boulevard without warning before crashing into the canal. Two people were in the car. Fortunately, one of them was able to dial 911 for help, PBCFR says.

A witness who saw the crash pulled over and was able to help the two people out of the vehicle. When firefighters arrived at the scene, PBCFR said most of the passenger compartment of the car was submerged.
