 A person caused a heavy law enforcement presence afterthey crashed into a Brightline train and later shot himself on Tuesday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says.

CBS12 obtained a photo showing the front of a car completely smashed, and video footage shows the incident occurred on Dixie Highway near J Street, close to the LGBTQ bar Mad Hatter, with law enforcement blocking off the road and removing yellow tape from the scene.

Spokesperson Teri Barbera said after crashing into the train, the person was found suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Barbera said the individual is in “grave condition.”
