A 37-year-old man died on Monday after a crash on the Sawgrass Expressway in Sunrise, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The Hialeah man was riding a 2025 blue Suzuki motorcycle southbound when he crashed shortly before 10:45 a.m, according to Lt. Indiana Miranda, a spokeswoman for FHP.
Witnesses reported the motorcyclist was speeding and changing lanes when he collided with the back of a 2025 grey Subaru sports utility vehicle in a center lane, according to Miranda.
The motorcycle overturned and came to a final rest on the grass shoulder, where the man was dead near Sunrise Boulevard, according to Miranada.
A 69-year-old Davie woman was driving the SUV, which ended up facing east on the grass shoulder after the crash, according to Miranda.
