Two people are dead following a late night traffic crash on Highway 98 in the Watersound area.
It happened on Highway 98 just west of South Watersound Parkway.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a SUV, with four 18-year-old individuals from Massachusetts, was traveling westbound on Highway 98.
Troopers said the SUV collided with a semi tractor trailer that was attempting to make a U-turn in the median on Highway 98.
The SUV then traveled across the roadway and into the wood line.
The driver and one of the female passengers were pronounced dead on the scene.
The other two passengers in that vehicle were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The driver of semi tractor trailer and his passenger were not injured.
