Hit-and-run crash leaves car in bushes in Lehigh Acres, investigation underway

A hit-and-run crash in Lehigh Acres left a car in the bushes early Wednesday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash on Gunnery Road South at 18th Street Southwest just after midnight.

Gulf Coast News crews at the scene saw a car lodged in bushes. A tow truck arrived and removed the car from the bushes.

FHP said the crash is under investigation, and they expect to be able to provide more information later in the day.
