The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver after a crash that left a motorcyclist with serious injures in Escambia County on Friday.
Troopers responded to a hit-and-run crash around 4:00 PM at the intersection of Blue Angel Parkway and Longleaf Creek.
FHP says a man driving a white Nissan Altima was traveling south on Blue Angel Parkway when he failed to avoid a collision, causing the front right corner of the Altima to hit the rear left side of a 47-year-old Pensacola man’s motorcycle.
The impact pushed the motorcycle forward, leading to a second collision with the rear right corner of a 45-year-old Pensacola woman’s Nissan Rogue, according to FHP.
Troopers say the driver of the Altima continued south, causing another collision with the Rogue’s rear left corner before fleeing the scene without providing aid.
The suspect abandoned the vehicle at a Circle K gas station located at 6920 Mobile Highway in Pensacola, according to FHP.
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries.
Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect driver.
