A serious crash on Interstate 10 in Santa Rosa County left a 27-year-old Holt man critically injured after he was ejected from his SUV.
Troopers say the man was driving a grey Jeep Wrangler SUV traveling eastbound near the 20-mile marker when the vehicle drifted onto the southern shoulder. The man overcorrected, causing the SUV to overturn multiple times.
Troopers say the man was ejected from the SUV. Life Flight responded to the scene, landing on the eastbound lanes and temporarily closing the roadway.
The lanes were closed for nearly an hour as rescuers worked to stabilize the patient, according to FHP.
Troopers say the Helicopter departed at 7:10 p.m., and the lanes reopened at 8:02 p.m.
