Home badly damaged in fire on Trent Street in Escambia County

Escambia County Fire Rescue

Escambia County crews put out a heavy house fire Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. at a home in the 6000-block of Trent Street.

“Upon arrival, approximately 60% of the home was on fire showing heavy flames and black smoke,” the county says in a release.

Crews brought the situation under control by 12:47 p.m., while the flames were extinguished by 1:06 p.m.

“ECFR determined the fire was electrical-in-nature and started in the carport,” the county says. “The home will require extensive repairs before it can be reoccupied.”

No one was injured.
