Home damaged, dog killed after explosion in Winter Springs

An apartment home was damaged Wednesday morning after an explosion possibly involving a propane tank.

Seminole County Fire Rescue said crews responded to a report of a fire on Mosswood Circle in Winter Springs before noon.

When they arrived, the front of the apartment home was engulfed in flames.

SCFR said the fire was extinguished in less than four minutes.

A dog was killed in the fire. Two other pets were rescued.

Longwood Fire Rescue also responded.

No injuries were reported.
