A house was heavily damaged in a fire in Escambia County overnight.
It broke out around 3:20 a.m. in the 8600-block of Handicare Street in Ensley.
Eight Escambia County Fire Units responded to the fire.
“Heavy fire was visible at the front of the home upon arrival,” the county says in a release. “Rapid water application prevented the fire from expanding throughout the home.”
No one was injured.
The occupants will be temporarily displace and were assisted by the American Red Cross, according to the county.
The Bureau of Fire and Arson is investigating.
EMS, ECSO and FPL provided assistance during the response.
