Port St. Lucie Police are conducting a homicide investigation on the death of a 53-year-old motorcyclist who was shot multiple times while driving.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) stated that at around 1 a.m. on Sunday, they responded to the intersection of Southwest California Boulevard and Southwest Greenan Lane regarding a single-vehicle motorcycle crash.
When officers arrived on the scene, they reported finding a motorcycle lying on the roadway and a man with life-threatening injuries that were inconsistent with a single-vehicle motorcycle crash.
PSLPD stated that their investigation uncovered the victim was shot multiple times while riding his motorcycle.
It was reported that the victim was airlifted to Lanwood Hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Officials claimed that several suspects have been placed in custody and that there is no threat to the public.
