House fire erupts in Seminole County, leaves 2 animals dead

A house fire in Sanford left a dog and a bird dead Monday morning.

Seminole County firefighters found flames shooting out of a home on Beardall Avenue just after 6 a.m.

The home is located near Lake Mary Boulevard, just off the airport property on the east side.

Firefighters are still on the scene, and no one else was hurt.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
