House fire in St. Johns County leaves family displaced on New Year’s Day

A St. Johns County family is without a home going into the new year after a house fire destroyed their residence.

The St. Johns County Fire Rescue said in a Facebook post, crews responded to the fire Wednesday morning at a home in the Marsh Landing community.

As of right now, it’s unclear what caused the home to go up in flames, but the department is investigating.

No injuries were reported. A spokesperson told News4JAX that the family was out of town at the time of the fire.
