House goes up in flames in Okaloosa County

A structure fire broke out in Okaloosa County on Tuesday, officials say.

A little after 7:00 a.m. Walton County Fire Rescue said a request for aid from Okaloosa County was made in response to a fire on Ludlam Road in Laurel Hill.

Fire crews in Paxton and Mossy Head reportedly arrived to help fight the blaze of a single-story home that was fully engulfed.

Personnel said several local fire departments worked together to extinguish the flames and cleared the scene just before 10:00 a.m.

Fortunately, no one was allegedly home when the fire broke out.
