I-75 backed up for miles after multi-vehicle crash

A multi-vehicle crash and disabled vehicles on the shoulders have resulted in long traffic delays for miles along stretches of Interstate 75 in and around Marion County.

According to an incidents list from FL511.com, a multi-vehicle crash took place at around 11:54 a.m. just beyond mile marker 336 on I-75 South in Marion County.

As of 12:55 p.m., the right shoulder is blocked and traffic is slow for several miles north of the incident.

Additionally, a disabled vehicle on I-75 North, at mile marker 337, has also blocked the right shoulder and is causing traffic slowdowns south of the incident. That traffic jam is less severe.

Tonight, an offramp at a busy interchange on I-75 will be closed for roadwork. Next week, an onramp at the same interchange will close.
