Immokalee man dead after 2 semitrailers crash in Glades County

An Immokalee man was killed after a semitractor-trailer crashed into the back of another in Glades County Sunday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man driving a semitrailer was slowing down for traffic along US-27, north of Shady Acres Lane, around 11:30 p.m.

A 65-year-old Immokalee man driving a semitrailer behind him failed to slow down.

FHP states he crashed into the back of the semitrailer and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
