Italian father-son duo arrested at Bayside for punching senior over tour boat seats, cops say

A father and son from Italy are each facing a felony together in South Florida after Miami police said they attacked another father and son over seating on a sightseeing tour boat over the weekend.

Authorities said they were called to Bayside Marina just before 8:45 p.m. Saturday to investigate a fight aboard the Island Queen that happened on the water.

Investigators said the two victims, one of whom was a senior, sat down at a table when GDM, 50, and son CDM, 23, “told them they needed to move out of their seats.”

Police said “after a brief altercation,” the victims moved out of the table when the DM lunged and threw “multiple” punches at them.

According to an arrest report, police determined that the DM were the aggressors in the situation.

Police arrested each on charges of battery on a person 65 or older and disorderly conduct.

Court records show they were released on $1,500 bonds.
