Jacksonville 18-year-old arrested for shooting juvenile at Oakleaf soccer field, deputies say

An 18-year-old from Jacksonville has been arrested for his role in a shooting near soccer fields in Oakleaf Plantation that left a juvenile victim injured, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said BL was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder after he shot the victim on Friday evening near Silver Bluff Boulevard and Plantation Oaks Boulevard following an “altercation.”

CCSO added that Ludwig and the victim knew each other.

“This reckless and senseless act of violence endangered the lives of innocent children and families,” said Clay County Sheriff MC. “I also want to express my gratitude to the community members who provided crucial information—your willingness to come forward played a vital role in swiftly identifying and apprehending the individual responsible.”

The juvenile was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured.

CCSO said the investigation remains active and anyone with information is encouraged to contact them at 904-264-6512.
