Jacksonville Fire and Rescue ambulance involved in crash on Blanding Blvd

A Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department ambulance was involved in a crash while transporting a patient Wednesday morning, according to a JFRD spokesperson.

The crash happened on Blanding Boulevard near Meadowbrook Drive.

Video from the scene showed front-end damage to the ambulance.

JFRD says a second JFRD rescue unit was called to the scene to continue transporting the patient.

The department says no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
