A man died Sunday night after being hit by an SUV while walking across Dunn Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the crash happened around 11 p.m. east of Biscayne Boulevard.
According to FHP, a 47-year-old man was driving an SUV eastbound on Dunn Ave. when a man walked across the road right into the SUV’s path.
According to FHP, the driver tried to avoid hitting the man but was unsuccessful, and added that the man did not use a crosswalk.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he died, according to troopers.
