Jet Ski rider thrown off after sharp turn near Stump Pass

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating after someone fell off their Jet Ski near Stump Pass in Charlotte County.

Charlotte County Public Works says it happened around 4 p.m. Saturday at the sandbar. FWC reports the rider tried to make a sharp turn when they were ejected from the Jet Ski, with one foot trapped between the vessel and its speaker.

The individual was brought back to shore and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Charlotte County Fire and EMS, Englewood Fire and FWC all responded. FWC is leading the investigation.
