Kissimmee man arrested for allegedly stabbing roommate to death

Police arrested a man in Kissimmee for allegedly stabbing his roommate to death on Thanksgiving Day.

Detectives said the victim, JH, didn’t have any identification on him when he was found in a ditch.

However, a receipt helped them identify the victim and narrow down a suspect.

Twenty-five-year-old R-P appeared before a judge in Osceola County for the first time Wednesday.

Court records show F-P is accused of stabbing 21-year-old H in the stomach during a fight.

Police said H ran away but was later found dead in a ditch on Thanksgiving Day.

According to court records, the ditch was only 350 feet away from a home on North Emory Avenue in Kissimmee, where both men were renting rooms.

While the victim had no ID, investigators managed to trace where the victim lived after finding a receipt and credit card in his wallet.

That receipt led them to search video surveillance from La Mexicana Supermarket, where investigators could see H and another male, later identified as another roommate of the two men.

Investigators questioned another man who shared a room with F-P.

Court documents said when the roommate arrived at their room Thanksgiving night, he was opening the door and noticed blood on his hand transferred from the door handle.

From inside the room, he could see blood droplets on the floor and what appeared to be blood smeared on the wall.

The witness said he didn’t call the police out of fear of his immigration status.

Another roommate claimed F-P approached him and “advised him that he would kill him if he speaks to the police about the incident.”

Investigators in San Antonio, Texas, caught F-P trying to leave the country in December and arrested him.

Romeo F-P is being charged with premeditated murder and is being held in Osceola County on no bond.
