Florida troopers investigate fatal wreck near Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A 42-year-old Kissimmee man was killed early Friday in a hit-and-run crash in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

The fatal wreck happened around 1:20 a.m. on Buenaventura Boulevard at Osceola Parkway near Kissimmee.

The FHP said a vehicle, possibly a white Acura MDX with front-end damage, was northbound on Buenaventura Boulevard when the Kissimmee man attempted to cross the street and entered the path of the vehicle.

The pedestrian was struck by the front of the vehicle, which “fled the scene northbound,” according to an FHP crash report.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
