Lake City woman dies in 2-vehicle collision.

A 34-year-old Lake City woman died on U.S. 27 just west of Fort White when she struck a pickup head-on Monday afternoon.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the Lake City woman was driving an SUV east on U.S. 27 near SW Rambling Ct. at 4:30 p.m. when she drove into the oncoming lane and struck a pickup headed west.

Emergency responders pronounced the Lake City woman dead on scene. She was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.

The pickup was driven by a 43-year-old McAlpin man with a 21-year-old male passenger. Both were wearing seatbelts and sustained minor injuries.
