A Lake County woman died at the scene of a crash on Christmas Eve.
The 62-year-old Eustis woman was driving a 2018 Audi Q3 at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail in Orange County when she encountered a vehicle driving in the wrong direction, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Her vehicle collided with the wrong-way vehicle, a 2008 Kia Optima, driven by a 39-year-old Orlando man.
The Eustis woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Orlando man suffered serious injuries and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
