Lanes back open after crash shuts down I-95 in Brevard County

Northbound Interstate 95 was temporarily shut down Sunday morning in Brevard County because of a crash, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred around 11 a.m. before mile marker 188 (State Road 404/Pineda Causeway), FDOT’s Florida 511 website states.

All northbound lanes and the leftmost southbound lane were blocked for about an hour, all of which were seen reopened before noon.

Traffic cameras showed a helicopter landing in and taking off from the empty northbound lanes before the emergency vehicles left the scene.
