The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a serious crash in Lehigh Acres Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to the scene at Bell Boulevard S and Cadis Street E around 6:30 a.m.
Deputies said one person was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Photos from the scene show two vehicles involved with major damage. It is unclear what led up to the crash at this time.
As of 8:40 a.m., both directions of travel remain shut down. Drivers are asked to use caution in the area and seek an alternate route if possible.
This is an ongoing investigation. NBC2 has questions out to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to gather more information.
