Live Oak Fire Department responds to house fire

Live Oak firefighters responded to a fire at the Mel Margo apartments on Thursday.

Units arrived on scene to a kitchen fire and quickly put out the blaze.

There were no injuries and two cats were rescued.

Later that night, crews were dispatched to Green Avenue and Howard Street.

The fire at the abandoned structure was put out after about 20 minutes.
