Mack Attack: ‘Return of the Mack’ singer arrested after Palm Beach bar confrontation

A famed R&B singer from the 90s was arrested following a physical altercation with a Palm Beach restaurant manager over an unpaid entertainment fee.

The Palm Beach Police Department (PBPD) said MM, 52, the singer famed for his hit “Return of the Mack,” entered Le Bar à Vin at 380 South County Road on Sunday evening.

The victim and witnesses at the scene said M was upset about the alleged lack of payment from the venue over an event M had planned. M then got into an argument with the restaurant manager pushing him twice, according to the arrest affidavit.

Witnesses separated the two men and M was told to leave the restaurant where police later arrested M and booked him into the Palm Beach County Jail for simple battery. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

M’s attorney, RK, provided a statement saying the altercation over the entertainment fee escalated in the context of a “racially charged confrontation” and emphasized that M and his legal team are working to ensure the facts are fully understood.

However, it is important to acknowledge that this altercation between Mr. M and the male employee of the Le Bar a Vin, Nicola Lavacca, arose in the context of a racially charged confrontation. At this time, Mr. M and legal counsel are working diligently to ensure that the facts of the case are fully understood and appropriately addressed.
