SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A major pedestrian-involved crash on Bee Ridge Rd is currently under investigation.
ABC 7 spoke with Trooper Kenn Watson of the Florida Highway Patrol and learned the crash happened just after 7:30 this morning.
The injured pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
As the investigation continues, Bee Ridge Road will remain shut down in the area between Sawyer Road and Beneva Road.
Consider using Wilkinson Street or Webber Road as alternates.
