According to authorities, the crash involves multiple vehicles near mile marker 86 on Interstate 10, approximately one mile east of the DeFuniak Springs exit.
The eastbound and westbound lanes are completely shut down. The Florida Highway Patrol is en route.
Officials confirmed one fatality.
Motorists should expect significant delays for an extended period. Drivers are being directed to use U.S Highway 90 as an alternate route.
