Man, 19, shot and killed in Orange County, deputies say

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot early Wednesday in South Apopka, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 2 a.m. to a shooting reported from the corner of West Celeste Street and South Washington Avenue, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The 19-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement reads.

An investigation is said to be ongoing and no further details were available at the time of this report.
