A man was shot early Tuesday in the Biscayne Gardens neighborhood of Northeast Miami-Dade, according to the sheriff’s office.
Family members said the victim was just 19.
Authorities responded at around 2:37 a.m. to the area of Northeast 162nd Street and Northeast 4th Avenue.
The victim was rushed to the hospital.
More information about his injuries or what led to the shooting was not immediately available.
A woman who identified herself as the victim’s mother was clearly distraught. She said she just wanted her son to pull through.
