A 24-year-old man from Orange Park died in a crash in Duval County on Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to FHP, the crash happened around 10 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 95 exit ramp to Zoo Parkway.
Troopers said the man was exiting onto Zoo Parkway when, for unknown reasons, he failed to stay in his lane and traveled off the roadway and onto the north grass shoulder.
The man crashed into multiple trees before overturning onto its driver’s side, according to FHP. The pickup truck then caught fire.
The fire was later extinguished by firefighters, troopers said.
The man died at the scene.
