A man died early Sunday after being hit by an SUV on Beach Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the crash happened around 5:45 a.m. near Tamaya Boulevard.
According to FHP’s incident report, an 89-year-old man was driving an SUV eastbound on Beach Blvd. in the right travel lane. At the same time, a pedestrian, identified as a 32-year-old man from Winter Park, was in the same lane on Beach Blvd.
Troopers said the SUV hit the man, who died at the scene.
The driver remained on scene.
According to FL511, all lanes of Beach Blvd. near Tamaya Blvd. shut down due to the crash investigation.
All lanes have reopened.
