Man, 68, dies after he was ejected from his pickup truck in St. Johns County crash

A 68-year-old man died after he was ejected from his pickup truck in a crash in St. Johns County on Thursday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

FHP said the man was crossing State Road 207 east to west from Armstrong Road onto Don Manuel Road while the SUV was traveling south in the right lane of SR 207.

Officials said the pickup truck continued into the path of the SUV, colliding with the front left of it.

FHP said the man was ejected from the truck because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and he died at the scene.

The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, FHP said.
