A man is accused of injuring three people in a hit-and-run crash in Charlotte County on Friday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:56 p.m., a Dodge Ram truck was traveling south on Sandhill Boulevard, which is a heavy trick-or-treat area.
The truck hit a parked vehicle and three pedestrians. The pedestrians, who were an adult and two children, were injured in the crash and transported to area hospitals, FHP said.
Following the crash, the truck fled the scene.
FHP conducted a criminal investigation and located the driver of the truck, identified as Eugene Mandarino, 66, of Punta Gorda.
Mandarino was admitted to an area hospital. He faces multiple charges of leaving a crash scene involving injuries, FHP said.
