A 45-year-old man appeared in bond court Friday after authorities said he pushed a woman near a Metrorail station, causing her death.
Investigators said surveillance video shows the suspect, JG, walking up to 32-year-old KL unprovoked and pushing her, causing her to hit her head in the area of 8099 S. Dixie Highway.
Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said they found L dead the following morning.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14. Deputies were called to the scene the next morning, around 10 a.m. G was taken in for questioning after detectives reviewed the surveillance footage.
In court, a judge granted the state’s motion for pretrial detention. Records show G was on probation following a 2023 grand theft conviction, and his arrest history dates back to 2014.
