The Volusia Sheriff’s Office said it arrested a man after another was shot in Port Orange early Saturday morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, JC, 38, was arrested after he allegedly shot another man in the leg during an altercation on Old Samsula Road. Deputies said the shooting happened just after midnight, and the adult male victim was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
C has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond.
