Man arrested after deadly I-75 crash that killed one, injured two in Lee County


An Estero man was arrested after a crash that killed one person and injured two others on I-75 northbound south of Corkscrew Road late Sunday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, DAF, 38, was arrested and is facing charges of DUI manslaughter and two counts of DUI serious bodily injury. Fisher has been booked into the Lee County Jail.

According to FHP, troopers responded at about 11:33 p.m. to a rear end crash involving two vehicles at mile marker 121. FHP has confirmed that one of the passengers in the vehicle that was rear ended died at the scene.

Gulf Coast News could see the roof of one of the cars ripped off.

F was previously arrested on DUI charges in 2021, where he was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to six months of probation.
