Man arrested and accused of DUI after crash injures nine people at a Fort Myers taco stand

Nine people are injured after a driver accused of being intoxicated lost control of a van and crashed into a tent in front of a taco stand at Marsh Avenue and Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers Monday night.

L A V H was arrested and faces 10 charges. According to the Fort Myers Police Department, he faces nine counts of DUI – damage to property or person of another and one count of DUI – influence of alcohol or drugs.

FMPD said nine people were hospitalized, including multiple minors and the driver of the van, following the crash at La Mexicana Taco Stand. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
