Man arrested in connection to shooting in Lehigh Acres

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office revealed an arrest was made in connection to a disturbance call Sunday at the 700 block of Clancy Street in Lehigh Acres.

It started as a reported disturbance involving guns and turned into a shooting.

LCSO deputies said they knew guns were involved when they first responded.

Clancy St. was filled with deputies, K9s, and even a helicopter for hours on Sunday.

Elijah Dixon, 19, ended up being arrested in connection to the incident.

According to LCSO, no one was shot, and the deputy who fired their gun is on paid administrative leave, which is standard protocol.
