Man arrested in Hillsborough County after injuring child with a belt buckle: Deputies

A man was arrested in Hillsborough County on Friday after being accused of child abuse.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call in the 12500 block of Oaks Place.

Deputies said that while under the care of OCA, 44, a child was struck in the head with the buckle of a belt multiple times, requiring medical attention.

“Every child deserves a loving and safe place to call home, and this man’s actions are reprehensible,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We are committed to protecting our most vulnerable residents and holding those who harm children accountable.”
