A man has been arrested after a stabbing took place along New York drive in Tice overnight on Sunday.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called out to a stabbing at a home on New York drive around 1:20 a.m.
Deputies say that upon arrival they found a woman with multiple stab wounds inside the home.
The victim was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition.
LCSO detectives say that the suspect, B S L, 33, broke into the victim’s home and began hitting and stabbing her multiple times in her sleep.
Deputies located S L one street away using a drone and arrested him.
S L is facing charges of two counts of burglary with battery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
