The same day that a woman was fatally stabbed in the early morning hours in a home on Arlington Expressway near Townsend Boulevard, police arrested the man they believe was responsible.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that CYA, 38, has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of 30-year-old YDLCCA.
Police said they were called about 3:20 a.m. Sunday to a report of a stabbing on Arlington Expressway near Townsend Boulevard, and they found A with stab wounds.
JSO said A was quickly identified as the suspect in the stabbing and was taken by paramedics to a hospital to be treated for stab wounds to his left hand and left shin.
When officers searched the home, they found Anton suffering from multiple stab wounds. She died at the scene.
Later on Sunday, after reviewing evidence and interviews, A was arrested on the murder charge.
Police have not said how A and A are connected, but they did call it an incident of domestic violence.
